AP i ORDINANCE TO REPEAL SECTION 2.82.020 OF THE WEST MEMPHIS
MlJNICIPAL CODE TO REGARDING THE RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT FOR
CI TY EMPLOYEES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Section 2.82.020 of the West Memphis Municipal Code established the
policy of the City of West Memphis regarding residency of city employees; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.82.020 of the West Memphis Municipal Code was originally
adopted as Section 2 of Ordinance 859 adopted by the West Memphis City Council in 1976; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Section 2.82.020 of the West Memphis
Municipal Code should be repealed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 2.82.020 of the West Memphis Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
[REPEALED].
SE(.-'TION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
