AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 435 WHICH
ORDINANCE AMENDED SECTION TWELVE (12) OF ORDINANCE
NO. 180, PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF GARBAGE
WASTE, TRASH AND REFUSE IN THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
PROVIDING FOR INSPECTION OF PREMISES, FIXING A
SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR SAID SERVICE AND PROVIDING A
PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Section 3 of Ordinance 435 be amended
to read as follows: That Section 12 of ordinance No. 180 --
CLASSIFICATION -- be amended to read as follows:
ESTABLISHMENT
Each house or apartment occupied by
one family unit
Office buildings shall pay for each
separate suite of rooms, or room in
said building or classif ied in schedule
below
Each building, house or part of buildings
occupied by a commercial business shall
be classified by the Garbage Department
according to volume and weight of garbage
accumulated by such business and/or the
handling costs, and there shall be levied
and collected the following fees:
CLASS A 525.90
CLASS B 20.90
CLASS C 15.90
CLASS D 12.90
CLASS E 10.90
CLASS F 8.90
CLASS G 6.90
CLASS H 4.90
CLASS I 2.90
MONTHLY FEE
1.65
1.90
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances are
amended as herein set forth and all other provisions contained in
Ordinance No. 435 and Ordinance No. 180, unless repealed or amended,
shall remain in full force and effect.
