RESOLUTION NO. � I
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 2018 BUDGET FOR
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS,AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, A.C.A. § 14-58-203 allows the municipal governing body to alter or revise
from time to time amount to an appropriation of funds which are lawfully applicable to the items
therein contained.
WHEREAS, the Budget Committee of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, has met and has
recommended that the 2018 Budget for the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, be amended for the
purpose of paying a bonus to all city employees that was employed as of November 27`h, 2018; All full
time employees with at least 1 year of service will receive $ 1,000.00; All other employees will receive
$ 500.00
WHEREAS,the cost of the change in these allocations is estimated at$ 355,000.00.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis,Arkansas, finds that the recommended
Budget amendment for the purpose of funding this allocation is appropriate and should be approved;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS,THAT the 2018 Budget for the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, is
hereby estimated to be amended in the amount of$ 355,000.00 as set out in Exhibit A, and this
resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval.
