2504 ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE 2403 AND SECTION 34-30 OF THE
WEST MEMPHIS MUNICIPAL CODE,TO SET GARBAGE COLLECTION
FEES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS,due to operational cost increase,purchasing of curbside carts for each
residential home,maintenance and repair of commercial dumpsters,the City of West Memphis
has found it necessary to increase the garbage collection fees to help cover these costs;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance 2403 and Section 34-30 (formerly 8.04.120)of the West
Memphis Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
COLLECTION FEES
The fees to be charged and paid for the collection and disposal of garbage shall be on a
monthly basis as follows:
ESTABLISHMENTS MONTHLY FEE
Each residence or apartment occupied
by family $17.75
separate metered, separate pickup,
central pickup each apartment $15.50
Each building, house or part of buildings
occupied by a commercial business that
uses garbage cans(limit 3 cans,each additional
can to be $10.00 per can) $35.00
