AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 287, RE-ZONING LOT ELEVEN (11), BLOCK
FOURTEEN (1~+) AND LOT EIGHT (8), BLOCK FIFTEEN (15) OF THE SECOND RICH
EASTERN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS
WHE2~AS, the owners of the lands hereinafter described desire a change
in zoning, and all of the preliminaries and formalities have been complied
with, now
BE Ifi ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMrPIiIS:
SECTION I. That Section II of Ordinance No. 287 be amended as follows:
"E" BUaINESS DISTRICT: That Lot Eleven (11), Block Fourteen (l~+) and I,ot
Eight (8), Block Fifteen (15) of the Second Rich Eastern Addition to the
City of West Memphis, be and the same are hereby zoned as an "E" Business
District.
SECTION II. ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH REPEALED: All Ordinances
or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION ITI. COPY OF ORDIlVANCE FILED FOR RECORD: A copy of this
Ordinance, when duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be subject to being
filed in the Office of the Circuit Clerk and Ex-Officio Recorder within and
for Crittenden County, Arkansas, for record.
SECTION IV. EMERGENCY CLAUSE; Whereas, said lands are in the process
of being developed, that there is need for establishment of business districts
within the City of West Memphis, and it would be to the best interest of the
City of West Memphis that said lands be re-zoned; it is, therefore, found
and declared by the City Council of the City of West Memphis that there is
iamiediate need for the establishment of such a business district, and this
Ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared and shall take
effect and be in force from. and after its passage and approval.
