AN ORDINANCE ALLOWING THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS TO
kv DO BUSINESS WITH KIMBERLY HAMILTON FOR BAKERY SERVICES,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS,A.C.A. §14-42-107(b)(1) states:
No alderman, council member, official, or municipal employee shall be interested,
directly or indirectly, in the profits of any contract for furnishing supplies, equipment, or
services to the municipality unless the governing body of the city has enacted an
ordinance specifically permitting aldermen, council members, official, or municipal
employees to conduct business with the city and prescribing the extent of this authority.

WHEREAS,the City of West Memphis desires to utilize the services of Kimberly
Hamilton for bakery services for special events for the City of West Memphis, retroactive to
January 1, 2019; and
WHEREAS,Kimberly Hamilton is employed by the West Memphis Advertising and
� ) Promotion Commission,thereby requiring approval by the City Council of the City of West
Memphis;
THEREFORE,BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of West Memphis is hereby authorized to hire Kimberly
Hamilton for bakery services for special events for the City of West Memphis, retroactive to
January 1, 2019.
