AN ORDINANCE WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR THE RELOCATION OF
A 12" WATER MAIN AT THE NORTH 14TH STREET BAYOU BRIDGE, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated Section 14-58-303 allows waiving of competitive
bidding in exceptional situations where such procedure is deemed not feasible or practical; and
WHEREAS, there are many items necessary for the City's use where competitive bidding is
deemed not feasible or practical; and
WHEREAS, the West Memphis Utility Commission has to relocate a twelve inch water main
at the North 14th Street Bayou bridge, .end Crittco Construction Company has agreed to perform this
work for the amount of $16,075.00, and competitive bidding under such circumstances would not be
feasible or practical;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That competitive bidding be waived for the relocaton of a twelve inch water main at the North
14th Street Bayou bridge.
2. That the proposal from Crit+co ('onstruct Company to perform this work for the amount of
$16,075.00 be approved.
