AN ORDINANCE INCORPORATING THE NORTHEAST QUARZ~R (NE,-~) OF SECTIQN ELEVEN
(11), SOUTI~AST QUARTER (SE4) OF SECTION ELEVEN (11) LYIlVG NORTH AND WEST
OF THE CENTER LINE OF ZEN MILE BAYOU, NORTHEAST QUARZ~R (NEB--,) OF SECTION
FOURTEEN (l~+) LYING NORTH AND WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF TEN MILE BAYOU,
ALL IlJ TOWNSHIP SIX (6) NORTH, RANGE EIGHT (8) EAST; AND THAT PART OF THE
SOUTHWEST QUARTER (SWu) OF SECTION ELEVEN (11), TOWNSHIP SIX (6) NORTH,
RANGE EIGHT (8) EAST DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT A POINT WHERE THE
EAST LINE OF SAID SECTION ELEVEN (11) INTERSECTS THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY
LIlVE OF HIGHWAY 70, THENCE WEST ALONG THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF SAID
HIGHWAY 70 FIFTY (50') FEET TO A POINT, THENCE NORTH PARALLEL WITH THE EAST
LINE OF SAID SECTION ELEVEN (11) EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY-TWO (872') FEET TO A
POINT, THENCE EAST PARALLEL WITH SAID NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF SAID
HIGHWAY 70 FIFTY (50'} FEET TO A POINT ON THE EAST LINE OF SAID SECTION
ELEVEN (11 ), THENCE SOUTH ALONG SAID EAST LINE OF SAID SECTION ELEVEN (11)
EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY-TWO (872') FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING, Ta THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, CRITTENDEN COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, on the 30th day of July, 1958, the County Court of Crittenden
County, Arkansas, made an Order annexing certain lands therein described to
the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, pursuant to Petition of Jack W. Rich
and Eva Floy Daniel; that said Order was contingent on acceptance of the
lands therein described by the City Council of the City of West Memphis,
and
WHEREAS, the signers of said Petition constitute a majority of the
owners and also constitute owners of a majority of~the lends in the affected
area, and
WHEREAS, said lands are adjacent and contiguous to the City of West
Memphis, and that it would be to the best interests of the City of West
Memphis and the citizens thereof that said property be incorporated into
and become apart of the City of West Memphis; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following lands, to-wit:
Northeast Quarter (NEB) of Section Eleven (11),
Southeast Quarter (SEA) of Section Eleven (11) lying
North and West of the center line of Ten Mile Bayou,
Northeast Quarter (NE,-~~) of Section Fourteen (14) lying
North and West of the center line of Ten Mile Bayou,
all in Township Six (6) North, Range Eight (8) East;

That part of the Southwest Quarter (SW4) of Section
Eleven (11 ), 'Ibwnship Six (6) North, Range Eight (8 )
East described as follows:
Beginning at a point where the East line of said Section
Eleven (11) intersects the North right-of-way line of
Highway 70; thence West along the North right-of-way
line of said Highway 70 fifty (50') feet to a point;
thence North parallel with the East line of said Section
Eleven (11) eight hundred seventy-two (872'} feet to a
point; thence East parallel with said North right-of-way
line of said Highway 70 fifty (50') feet to a point on
the Eaat line of said Section Eleven (11 ); thence South
along said East line of said Section Eleven (11) eight
hundred seventy-two (872') feet to the point of beginning,
containing one (1) sere;
be and the same are hereby annexed and incorporated into the City of
West Memphis, Crittenden County,~,Arsas.
