AN ORDINANCE TO AI~ND ORDINANCE NO. 403 WHICH ORDINANCE
PROVIDES FOR THS REPEAL OF ORDINANCE NO. 127, PASSED AND
APPROVED DECEMBER 13, 1946; FOR THB REPEAL OF' ORDINANCE
NO. 337, PASSED AND APPROVED JUNE 20, 1957, AND FOR THE
CREATION OF A BOQIRD FOR EXAMINING AND LICENSING ELECTRI-
CIANS; TO PROVIDE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR LICENSING
AND EXAMINING SUCH PERSON OR COr~lPANY; THE ISSUANCE OF
CERTIFICATES OF COMPETENCY AND TO PRBSCRIBE PENALTIES
FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MBM-
PHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE. Section Three of Ordinance No. 403 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
No permit shall be issued to any licensed electrician unless
such licensed electrician shall have and maintain an established
place of business within the city limits of West Memphis, Arkansas,
and have displayed in a prominent location his business name and
shall maintain a telephone at the business.
SECTION TWO. All provisions contained in Ordinance No. 403
shall remain in full force and effect except as herein specifically
amended.
SECTION THREE. This ordinance being necessary for t3~e safety
and welfare of the inhabitants of the City of West Memphis, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage.
