41460, A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SELECTION OF AN ARCHITECTURAL
FIRM TO PROVIDE DESIGN SERVICES REQUIRED TO PREPARE PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS AND BID DOCUMENTS TO ASSIST WITH THE
PROPOSED REMODELING AND TO PROVIDE TYPICAL CONSTRUCTION
ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES FOR HIGHTOWER PARK, ROBERTA
JACKSON CENTER (HIGHTOWER PROJECT), AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code §19-11-801, et seq., provides the procedure for the
selection and negotiation of contracts for architectural services, including
professional architectural services; and
WHEREAS, competitive bidding for the procurement of professional architectural
services is prohibited; and
‘tiaw WHEREAS, the CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS is in need of architectural design services
required to prepare plans and specifications, to assist with typical construction
administrative services for the remodeling of the HIGHTOWER PROJECT; and
WHEREAS, the WEST MEMPHIS CITY COUNCIL has reviewed and evaluated the
current statements of qualifications and performance data on file, selected the
required number of firms and negotiated a contract with the firm considered the
best qualified and capable of performing the desired work, that being Ladd Garey
d/b/a ETFC ARCHITECTS;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, that the of Ladd Garey d/b/a ETFC ARCHITECTS, to
provide architectural services to the City of West Memphis for architectural
design services for remodeling of the HIGHTOWER PROJECT is hereby approved
and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the necessary
contracts on behalf of the City of West Memphis for the professional services by
Ladd Garey d/b/a ETFC ARCHITECTS.
