2515 ORDINANCE NO. /
AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH NEW COMPENSATION FOR
COUNCIL MEMBERS OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS,the city council members have not received an increase in compensation
since the year of 2008; and
WHEREAS, it have been ordained by the city council members of the City of West
Memphis, Arkansas, that due to inflation and the cost index,that an increase in compensation is
warranted after 11 years without a compensation increase of any kind; and
WHEREAS,all ordinances and resolutions and parts of ordinances and resolutions in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS,THAT:
SECTION 1. The city council members shall receive ($13,200.00)per year payable
monthly.
