ORDINANCE N0. 220
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING FOLLOWING FIRE APPARATUS; DRIVING
BUS, TRUCK, OR OTHER VEHICLE OVER FIRE HOSE AND PROVIDING
A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VPEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. FOLLOWING FIRE APPARATUS PROHIBITED: The
driver of any vehicle other than one on official business shall
not follow any fire apparatus traveling in response to afire
alarm, closer than Five Hundred (500) feet, or drive into, or
park any vehicle within Five Hundred (500) feet where any fire
apparatus has stopped in answer to a fire alarm.
SECTION 2. CROSSING UNPROTECTrrD FIRE HOSE PROHIBITED:
No bus, truck, or other vehicle shall be driven over any un-
protected hose of the fire department when layed down on any
street, privat® driveway, or other place, to be used at any
fire alarm or fire, without the consent of the fire department
official in command or charge of said fire apparatus.
SECTION 3. PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONSo Any party who
violates any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon
conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of a misdeamor and upon
conviction thereof, shall be fined not less than Ten 010.00)
Dollars or more than Five Hundred 0500.00) Dollars, or con-
fined i:n the city fail not to exceed Ninety (90) days or both
such fine and imprisonment.
