Committee agreed with the promotion and is bringing it before the City Council for their
approval. Council Member Robinson made a motion, seconded by Council Member Mondy that

unanimous. Council Member Mondy said that Chief West, also requested raises for his officers
The Police Committee presented it to the Budget Committee for their consideration.
BUDGET COMMITTEE: Council Member Catt presented the budget report. Council
Member Catt said the Budget Committee did take into consideration the two items that Council
Member Mondy discussed. The other item recommended by the Budget Committee was a
$25,000-dollar data card for the Sky Cop. Currently the process for retrieving data from the Sky
Cop is for the officers is to park underneath the sky cop and down load the data this process
can take hours and is not necessarily the most efficient way to retrieve the data. The data card
will transmit the data directly back to the police department and would allow the department
to free up officers to be on the streets. The Police Department has recommended it to the
Budget Committee and the Budget Committee has approved it and hopefully it will be
approved by the Council with the entire budget to be presented next week. Council Member
Catt said that the Budget Committee has met extensively over the month and has made some
adjustments to the budget that was originally handed out it will be handed out next week. City
