2540 ORDINANCE NO. 2�D
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING TORI PERRY, AS CITY ACCOUNTANT,
TO OPEN ACCOUNTS AND SIGN ALI,WIRE TRANSFERS FOR THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS IN THE ABSENCE OF THE FINANCE DIRECTOR,
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, in the absence of the Finance Director, the City of West Memphis is in need
of authorizing an additional person to be able to open accounts and sign all wire transfers on
behalf of the City; and
WHEREAS,Tort Petry is employed by the City of West Memphis as the City
Accountant and is knowledgeable of the finance department and the accounts of the City;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS,THAT:
SECTION 1. Tori Perry. as City Accountant, is authorized to open accounts and to sign
all wire transfers on behalf of the City in the absence of the Finance Director.
SECTION 2. EMERGENCY CLAUSE. It having been found and determined by the
City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, that there is an urgent need to authorize
Tori Perry, as City Accountant, to be allowed to open accounts and sign all wire transfers for the
City of West Memphis to be able to operate day to day business without interruption due to the
current finance director being absent for health reasons, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace,health, safety and
welfare of the citizens of West Memphis, Arkansas, shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its passage and approval.
