2541 ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING TORI PERRY, AS CITY ACCOUNTANT, AND
A MEMBER OF THE BUDGET COMMITTEE ACCESS TO THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX IN THE ABSENCE OF THE
FINANCE DIRECTOR,DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, in the absence of the Finance Director, the City of West Memphis is in need
of authorizing additional persons access to the City's safety deposit box, and
WHEREAS,the members of the Budget Committee are appointed by the Mayor and are
knowledgeable of the accounts of the City: and
WHEREAS,Tori Perry is employed by the City of West Memphis as the City
Accountant and is knowledgeable of the finance department and the accounts of the City:
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS,THAT:
SECTION 1. Tori Perry, as City Accountant, and a member of the Budget Committee
are authorized access to the City's safety deposit box.
SECTION 2. EMERGENCY CLAUSE. It having been found and determined by the
City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas,that there is an urgent need to approve Tort
Perry, as City Accountant, and a member of the budget committee access to the City of West
Memphis safety deposit box due to the current finance director being absent for health reasons,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the citizens of West Memphis, Arkansas, shall
be in full force and effect from and after the/dat,e of[ XL
