AN ORDINANCE TO MAID TT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON OR PERSONS TO SP.20KE IN
BED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUPICIL OF THE CITY OF u~EST MENiPHIS:
SECTION 1 -UNLAWFUL TO S!viOKE IN BED. From and after the passage
and approval of this Ordinance, it shall be unlawful for any person or
persons to smoke while in bed.
SECTION 2 -PENALTY. Arty person convicted of t!-ie violation of this
Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
thereof shall be fined in any sum not less than ONE 01.00) DOLLAR nor
more than ONE HUNDNED 0100.00) DOLLARS.
SECTION 3 - E+~'RGENCY CLAUSE. It is found and determined to be
a fact that man4y persons are smoking while in bed; that such practice
is hazardious to the public welfare and safety of the citizens of
West Memphis, an emergency is declared to exist, and this Ordinance
shall be in full force and. effect from and after its passage and approval.
