AN ORDINANCE TO ZONE BIACKS EItNiT TO FIFTEEN (8-15) BOTH INCLIISIVE OF
SECOND RICH EASTERN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS
WHEREAS, Notice was duly given of a hearing before the Planning Com-
mission of the City of West Memphis to be had and held on the 4th day of
October, 1954 for the purpose of submitting plat, Bill of Assurance and
requesting zoning of the lands hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of October, 1954 pursuant to said Notice, the
Playing Commission met 3n special session for the purpose of considering
the plat, Bill of Assurance and request for zoning the lands hereinafter
described, and after hearing the owners of said lands, all other interested
persons, and from all other information and things before the Planning
Commission, it was the finding of the Planning Commission that said plat
and Zoning Ordinance as subffitted should be approved, and said lands zoned
as an "A" Single Family Residence District, and
WHEREAS, Notice was duly published on the 8th day of October, 1954
that a hearing would be held before the City Council at ?:30 p.n:. on Tuesday,
November 2, 1954, for the purpose of hearing all interested parties in con-
nection with the zoning of said lands hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS, at said meeting the owners of said lands appeared and requested
that all of said lands be zoned as an "A" Single Family Residential District,
except Lot Eleven (11), Block Fourteen (14), and Lot Eight (8), Block
Fit'teen (15); that the owners r~~~~sted that said Lot Eleven (11), Block
Fourteen (14), and Lot Eight (8), Block Fifteen (15), be zoned as "D"
Commercial, and
WHEREAS, no persons appeared to protest against zoning of said lands,
}~~ and after hearing the owners and other interested persons, the Council finds

that said lands should be zoned as requested, now, therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MIIKPHIS:
SECTION I. "A" SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT: That the following
lands, to ~it:•
Blocks Eight to Fifteen (8-15) both inclusive of the
Second Rich Eastern Addition to the City of West Memphis,
being located in the East Half (E~) of Section Eight (8),
Township Six (6) North, Range Nine (9) East, Crittenden
Covnty, Arkansas,
be, and the same are, hereby zoned as an 'tA" Single Family Residence
District.
SECTION II. ND" COMHER.CIAL DISTRZ CT: That Lot Eleven (11), Block
Fourteen (1l~.), and Lot Eight (8), Block Fifteen (15) of the Second Rich
Eastern Addition to the City of West Memphis, being located in the East
Half (E~) of Section Eight (8), TaWnship Six (6) North, Range Nine (9)
East, Crittenden County, Arkansas, be, and the same are hereby zoned as a
aD" Commercial District.
SECTION III. ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH REPEALED: All Ordi-
nances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION IP. COPY OF ORDINANCE FILED FOR RECORD: A copy of this
Ordinance, when duly certified by the City Clerk, shall b® sub3ect to
being filed in the Office of the Circuit Clerk and Ex-Officio Recorder
within and for Crittenden County, Arkansas, for record.

NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held. at the City Hall
in the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, at 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday,
November 2, 195tt, for the purpose of zoning the following described
lands to-wit:
Blocks Eight to Fifteen (8-15) both inclusive of the Second Rich
Eastern Addition to the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, being located
in the East Half (E~) of Section Eight (8), Township Six (6) North,
Range Nine (9) East, Crittenden County, Arkansas, a,s an "A" Single
Family Residence District with the e5tception of Lot Eleven (11)
Block Fourteen (14), and Lot Eight (8), Block Fifteen (15) of the
Second Rich Eastern Addition to the City of West Memphis, Arkansas,
to be zoned as "D" Commercial District.
All persons having objections to said re-zoning are hereby notified to
be present and make known their objections, if any.
