AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING CERTAIN CRIMINAL LAWS, AND DEFINING THE PROCEDURE
THEREFOR, AND DECLARING THE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS.
BE TT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKAISAS:
That the City of West Memphis shall adopt the criminal procedure and
misdemeanor statutes of the State of Arkansas, as the procedure and laws to
be used by the City of West Memphis in its law enforcement.
Be it further ordained that the penalties prescribed by the Statutes
of the State of Arkansas for violations of its laws shall be, and the same
hereby are declared to be the penalties for law violations within the corporate
limits of the City of West r'lemphis.
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the proper law enforcement in the said City

of West Memphis, and in the general interest and welfare of the citizens
therein that said law be immediately passed, an emergency is declared to exist,
and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
