AN ORDINANCE TO ZONE A PORTION OF THE GEORGE T.
KENDAL ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS.
WHEREAS, notice was duly published on the 8th day of April, 1955, that a
hearing before the City Council at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 1955, for the pur-
pose of hearing alI interested parties in connection with the zoning of said lands
hereinafter described. ~~
WHEREAS, at said meeting it was requested that said lands be zoned as
follows:
All Block One (1), the West half (W~) of Block Two (2) (lots
Two (2) through Eighteen (18) both inclusive), the East half (E~)
of Block Four (4) (Lots Twenty (20) through Thirty-six (36)
both inclusive),~all Blocks Five (5), Six (6), Seven (7), Twenty
(20), Twenty-one (21), Twenty-two (22), the East half (E~) of
Block Twenty-three (23) (Lots Sdventten (17) through Thirty-two
(32) bothinclusive), The West half (W~) of Block Twenty-five (25)
(Lots One (1) through Sixteen (16) both inclusive), all of Blocks
Twenty-six (26), Twenty-seven (27), Twenty-eight (28), Twenty-
nine (29), Thirty (30), Thirty-one (31), Thirty-two (32), and
Thirty-three (33), all of the George T. Kendal Addition to the
City of West Memphis, Arkansas, as recorded in Plat Book One (1)
on pages 24 and 25, in the office of the recorder of Crittenden
County, Arkansas.

All unplatted area lying South of Jefferson Avenue, West of the
St. Louis-San Francisco right-of-way,. North of the Rock Island
right-of-way, and East of Woods Street. ~

WHEREAS, no persons appeared to protest against zoning of said lands the
council finds that said lands should be zoned as requested,~now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS:
SECTION I. `°G`" HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT: That the following lands, to-wit:
All Block 1; W~ Block 2; E~ Block 4; all Blocks 5,6,7,20,21, and 22; E'~ Block 23;
W~ Block 25; all Blocks 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32 and 33 of the George T. Kendal Addi-
tion to the City of West Memphis also all unplatted area lying South of Jefferson Ave-
nue, West of the St. Louis-San Francisco right-of-way, North of the Rock Island right-
of-way, and East of Woods Street, being located in the Southwest Quarter (SW~) of Sec-
tion Eighteen (18), Township Six (6) North, Range Nine (9) East, Crittenden County, Arkansas

be and the same are hereby zoned as a G Heavy Industrial District.
SECTION II. ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH REPEALED: All ordinances or
parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

SECTION III. COPY OF ORDINANCE FILED FOR RECORD: A copy of this ordinance,
when duly certified by the City Clerk shall be subject to being filed in the office
of the Circuit Clerk and Ex-Officio Recorder within and for Crittenden County, Arkansas,
- for record.
