ORDINANCE NO. 30la.
AN ORDINANCE PLACING THE TERRITORY HERETOFORE KNOWN AS HULBERT,
AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, IN WARD TWO OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the following described territory has been annexed
to the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, to-wif':
Beginning at the center of Section Thirteen li3), Township
Six I6) North, Range Eight 18) East; thence East 2640 feet
to the quarter-section corners of Sections Thirteen 113)
and Eighteen ll8); thence South 2220 feet to the North right-
of-way line of the Rock Island Railroad; thence in a North-
easterly direction along the said right-of-way line 1360 feet
thence in a Southeasterly direction at a right angi¢ 380 feet
thence at a right angi¢ in a Northeasterly direction Ii50 fe¢~
to the city limits of West Memphis; thence in a Southerly
direction 440 feet to the North line of the right-of-way of
the Memphis to Marianna branch of the Missouri Pacific
Railroad; thence in a Southwesterly direction along the
North line of the said railroad right-of-way 4460 feet to
the intersection of the North line of the South Haif of the
South Half of the North Haif tS~ S~ N~) of Section
Twenty-four 124); thence W¢st along said line 4000 feet to
the section line between Sections Twenty-three (23) and
Twenty-four t24); thence North 1980 feet to the Southwest
Corner of said Section Thirteen ti3l; thence East 2640 feet
to the quarter-section corner of Sections Thirteen tl3) and
Twenty-four t24); thence North 2640 feet to the point of
beginning, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that this territory b¢ placed in a
Ward of the City of W¢st Memphis, Arkansas, THERE.FURE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION i. That the following described territory lying
and being situate in W¢st Memphis, Crittenden County, Arkansas,
to-wit•
Beginning at the center of Section Thirteen (13), Township
Six ib) North, Range Eight t8) East; thence East 2b40 feet
to the quarter-section corners of Sections Thirteen I13)
and Eighteen (18); thence South 2220 feet to the North right-
of-way line of the Rock island Railroad; thence in a North-
easterly direction along the said right-of-way line 1360 feet;
thence in a Southeasterly direction at a right angle 380 feet;
thence at a right angi¢ in a Northeasterly direction 1150 feet
to the city limits of 'dUest Memphis; thence in a Southerly
direction 440 feet to the North line of the right-of-way of
