AN ORDINANCE TO ZONE THE GEORGE T. KENDAL FIFTH
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS.
WHEREAS, notice was duly published on the 5th day of May, 1955 that a hear-
ling before the City Council at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 1955 for the purpose
of hearing all interested parties in connection with the zoning of said lands herein-
after described.
WHEREAS, at said meeting it was requested that said lands be zoned as
follows:
All of Blocks One (1) through Eight (8) both inclusive of
the George T. Kendal Fifth Addition to the City of West
Memphis., Arkansas as recorded in Plat Book 2, Page 104 in
the office of the recorder of Crittenden County, Arkansas.
and
WHEREAS, no persons appeared to protest against zoning of said lands the
council finds that said lands should be zoned as requested, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS:
- SECTION I. "B" RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT: That the following lands, to-wit:
All Blocks 1 through 8, with exception of Lots 1, 2 & 21, Block 2; Lot 1, Block
3; Lots 14 & 15, Block 1, of the George T. Kendal Fifth Addition to the City. of
West Memphis, Arkansas being located in the East Half (E Z) Section Seventeen (17)
Township Six (6) North, Range Nine (9) East, Crittenden County, Arkansas be and the
same are hereby zoned as a "B" Residential District.
SECTION II. '"D" CBMMERCIAL DISTRICT: That the following lands, to-wit:
Lots 1, 2 and 21, Block 2; Lots 1, Block 3; and Lots 14 & 15, Block 1 of the George
T. Kendal Fif th Addition to the City of West Memphis, Arkansas being located in the
East Half (E~) Section Seventeen (17) Township Six (6) North, Range Nine (9) East,
Crittenden County, Arkansas be and the same are hereby zoned as "D`" Commercial District.
SECTION III. ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH REPEALED: All ordinances or
parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION IV. COPY OF ORDINANCE FILED FOR RECORD: A copy of this ordinance,
when duly certified by the City Clerk Shall be subject to being filed in the office
of the Circuit Clerk and Ex-Officio Recorder within and for Crittenden County, Arkansas,
for record.
