AN ORDINANCE TO ZONE AVONDALE CrARDENS
SUBDIVISION, SECOND ADDI TIN TO
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS
WHEREAS, notice was duly published on the 15th day of July, 1955,
that a hearing before the City Council at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2,
1955, for the purpose of hearing all interested parties in connection with
the zoning of said lands hereinafter described.
WHEREAS, at said meeting it was requested that said lands be
zoned as follows:
~ All lots in Block 1, 2, 3, !~, 5, 6, and 7 to
be zoned as Class "A" Single Family Residential
District
and
WHEREAS, no persons appeared to protest against zoning of said
lands and the council finds that said lands should be zoned as requested,
now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS:
SECTION I. "A" SINGLE FAMILY RFSIDENTIA~ DISTRICT: That the
following lands, to-wit: Blocks 1, 2, 3, !~, 5, ~ and 7 of Avondale Gardens
Subdivision Second Addition to the City of West Memphis, being located in
the South Half (S~) of the South Half (S~) of Section One (1), Township
Six (6) North, Range Eight (8) East, Crittenden County, Arkansas, be and
the same are hereby zoned as an "A" Single Family Residential District.
SECTION II. ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH REPEALED: All Or-
dinances, or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III. COPY OF ORDINANCE FILED FOR RECORD: A copy of this

ordinance, when duly certified by the City Clerk shall be subject to being
filed in the office of the Circuit Clerk and Ex-Officio Recorder within and
for Crittenden County, Arkansas, for record.
