HEIGHTS EXTENSION TO THE CITY OF WEST MENff'HIS, LOCATED IN THE NORTHWEST.
QUARTER (NW4) OF SECTION TWELVE (12), TOWNSHIP 5IX (6) NORTH, R~,NGE EIGHT
(8) EAST, CRITTENDEN COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
WHERF,AS, Notice was duly given of a hearing before the Planning Com-
mission of the City of West Memphis, to be had and held for the purpose of
submitting plat, Bill of Assurance and requesting of zoning of lands herein-
of ter dese z-3.bed, and
WHEREAS, the plat and Bi11 of Assurance were submitted to the Planning
Commission, and of ter consideration of said plat and Bi11 of Assurance by
the Planning Commission, it was the finding of the Planning Commission that
the said plat and Bi11 of Assurance as submitted should be approved, and that
said lands should be zoned as "A" Single Family Residence area, except Lots
Seventeen to Twenty-Nine (17-29) both inclusive, Block Ten (10), and Lots One
to Fifteen (1-15) both inclusive, Block Fifteen (15), which were to be
zoned as Class "D" Commercial Zone, and
WHERI',AS, Notice was duly given of a hearing to be held before the City
Council at 3:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 6, 1955, for the purpose of hear-
ing all interested parties in connection with the zoning of the lands herein-
after descrI.bed, and
WHEREAS, at said meeting, the owners of said lands appeared and re-
quested that all of said lands be zoned as "A" Single Family Residential
District, except Lots Seventeen to Twenty-Nine (17-29) both inclusive, Block
Ten (10), and Lots One to Fifteen (1-15) both inclusive, Block Fifteen (15),
which the owners requested to classify as a Class "D" Commercial Zone, and
tiJHFRF,A.S, no persons appeared to protest against the zoning of said lands,
and of ter hearing the owners and other interested persons, the council finds
that said lands should be zoned, as requested; now, therefore

BE IT ORIaATNED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS:
SECTION I. "A" SIN(}LE FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT: That the following
lands, to-wit:
Blocks Six to Fifteen (6-15) both inclusive of Avalon
Heights Extension to the City of West Memphis, located
in the Northwest Quarter (N1~'4) of Section T~relve (12),
Township Six (6) North, Range Eight (8) East, except
Lots Seventeen to 7.'wenty-Nine (17-29) both inclusive,
Block Ten (10), and Lots One to Fifteen (1-15) both
inclusive, Block Fifteen (15)
be, and the same are hereby zoned as an "A" Single Family Residence
District.
SECTION II. "D" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT: That Lots Seventeen to Twenty-
Nine (17-29) both inclusive, Block Ten (10), and Lots One to Fifteen {1-15)
both inclusive, Block Fifteen (15) of Avalon Heights Extension to the City
of West Memphis, located in the Northwest Quarter (NW4) of Section Twelve
(12), Township Six (6) North, Range Eight (8) East, be and the same are
hereby zoned as a "D" Commercial District.
SECTION III. ORDINANCES TN CONFLICT HEREWITH REPEALED: A11 Ordinances
or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION IV. COPY OF ORDINANCE FILED FOR RECORD: A copy of this
Ordinance, when duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be sub3eet to being
filed in the Office of the Circuit Clerk and Ex-Officio Recorder within and
for Crittenden County, Arkansas, for,record.

Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held at the
City Hall in the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, at 3:00 P.M.
on October 6, 1955, for the purpose of zoning the following
described property situated in the City of West Memphis, Arkansas,
to-wit:
Lots 17-31, Block 10; Lots 1-I7, Block 15, Avalon Heights Extension
as "D" Conrtnercial.
Blocks 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, Lots 1-16 Block 10, Block 11, 12, 13, and 11t
Avalon Heights Extension as "A" Single Family Residential.
All persons having ob3ections to the said zoning being established
are hereby notified to be present and make lmown their ob~ectians if
