AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING CERTAIN CRIMINAL LA~1S, AND DEFINING THE PRO*
CEDURE THEREFOR, AND DECLARING THE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUl~TCIL OF THE CITY OF tiiTEST N~V~-IIS,
A&SANSAS:
Section I. Tbat the City oP West Memphis hereby adopts the
criminal laws and erim.inal procedure of the State of Arkansas, as the leave and
orf ordinances and procedure to be used by the City of West Memphis in its law
enforcement. Be it further ordained that the penalties prescribed by the
Statutes of the State of Arkansas Por violations of its laws iehall be, and the
same hereby are declared to be the penalties Por law violations within the cor-
porate limits of the City of West Memphis. '
hereby repealed,
Section II. Ordinance Number 51 is hereby repealed.
Section III. All laws or ordinances in conflict herewith are
WHEREAS, It is necessary for the proper law enforcement in
said City of West:Memphis and the general welfare and interest of the citizens
therein that this ordinance take effect and be in full force immediately, an
emergency is hereby declared to exsist, and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from end after its passage and approval.
