2238 RESOLUTION NO. 2238
AN RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE CREATION OF THE
SANITATION DEPARTMENT WITHIN THE PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT OF CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. CREATION OF THE RESIDENTIAL CURB-SIDE GARBAGE
DEPARTMENT. There is hereby created and established a Residential Curb-Side
Garbage Department of the City of West Memphis, which, shall hereafter be known as a
division of the Sanitation Department which is also a division of the Public Works
Department and which Department shall be under the management and supervision of
the Public Works Director of the City of West Memphis, who shall be appointed by the
Mayor.
SECTION 1.2. DUTIES OF THE RESIDENTIAL CURB-SIDE GARBAGE
DEPARTMENT. The Residential Curb-Side Garbage Department will be subject to the
City's Personnel Manual, as the Public Works Director will advise administrative duties
as assigned.
SECTION 2. CREATION OF THE RESIDENTIAL TRASH AND DEBRIS
DEPARTMENT. There is hereby created and established a Residential Trash and Debris
Department of the City of West Memphis, which, shall hereafter be known as a division
of the Sanitation Department which is also a division of the Public Works Department and
which Department shall be under the management and supervision of the Public Works
Director of the City of West Memphis, who shall be appointed by the Mayor.
SECTION 2.1. DUTIES OF THE RESIDENTIAL TRASH AND DEBRIS

of West Memphs, which, shall hereafter be known as a division of the Sanitation
Department which is also a division of the Public Works Department and which
Department shall be under the management and supervision of the Public Works Director
of the City of West Memphis, who shall be appointed by the Mayor.
SECTION 3.1. DUTIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DUMPSTER DEPARTMENT.
The Commercial Dumpster Department will be subject to the City's Personnel Manual, as
the Public Works Director will advise administrative duties as assigned.
