Gentlemen:
The purpose of this letter is to advise each of you that under the authority
vested in me by Ark. Scats, Acrno. 15~-1014, I have this date vetoed Ordinance No. 646 of the
City of. West Diemphis. The original of this letter will. be filed in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of idest Diemphis and laid before the next regular meeting of the City
Counr.il of the City of West t^lemphis as required by law.
It is my feeling that Ordinance No. 646 beforementioned is contrary to the public
interest to the City of ldest Diemphis and not in accordance with the general desire as
expressed to me by the residents of said City. It is my Feeling that the people of the City
of idest Diemphis desire to elect all of their City Aldermen on a Citycaide basis rather than
on a Ward basis. However, I would also like to state that I have no objection to submitting
this question to the qualified electors of the City of West tiemphis and determining the matter
on the basis of such vote.
Yours very truly,
/S/ T'ILDEN IUIJG~:S
