AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 3 EMPLOYMENTSUBTITLE: JURY
DUTY.OF THE:EMPLOYEE HANDBOOKOF THE CITY OF WEST MEPHIS,
ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSEM

WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of West Memphis desires to amend the
Employee Handbook of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, for-the purpose of modifying the
section regarding Jury Duty:
NOW,THEREFORE;BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS,THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 3: Employment, Subtitle: Jury Duty, of the Employee Handbook
of the City of West Memphis is amended to read as follows:
JURY DUTY
CWM grants full-time and regular part-time employees paid time-offfor mandatory jury
duty. If an employee is excused for jury duty,'the employee is expected to return to work
during regular.working.hours.
In order for leave to be reviewed and approved, employees must provide their immediate
supervisor with a copy of a notice, subpoena, or court order immediately upon receipt.

SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to.the extent of any such conflict.
