2163ORDINANCE NO. z 1_E~ 3 AN ORDINANCE TO RE-NAME N.24~ ST. WITHIN THE STEEPLECHASE APARTMENTS TO DEAUNTA FARROW DRIVE. WHEREAS, the citizens of West Memphis, Arkansas, are requesting that the City of West Memphis re-named 24th St. to DeAunta Farrow Drive; and WHEREAS, DeAunta Farrow life was ended on June 22"d 2007, in an unfortunate incident involving a West Memphis Police Officer; and WHEREAS, we the people of this community has been inspired by his young life with peace, unity and love request the name change of the street in his honor; and WHEREAS, 24~H St. within Steeplechase Apartment from Goodwin St. to the Service Road be re-named NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1: That 24th St. within Steeplechase Apartments in the city of West Memphis be re-named to DeAunta Farrow Drive. SECTION 2: That the West Memphis Street Department takes whatever actions necessary to see that 24th Street be re-named DeAunta Farrow Drive and gives notices to all parties concerned.
