A RESOLUTION TO RENAME THAT PORTION OF RED CROSS ROAD
WEST OF AIRPORT ROAD AND WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, TO HINO BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, Hino Motors Manufacturing U.S.A., Inc., has committed to bring
significant industrial development to the Crittenden County area; and
WHEREAS, access to the Hino Motors facility is by the road presently known as "Red
Cross Road" and Hino Motors has requested that the City of West Memphis consider changing
the name of that portion of Red Cross Road that is west of Airport Road and within the City of
West Memphis, Arkansas, to Hino Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, finds that it is
appropriate to change the name of that portion of Red Cross Road west of Airport Road to Hino
Boulevard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WE5T MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT the portion of Red Cross Road west of
Airport Road and within the City of West Memphis, Arkansas is hereby renamed to Hino
Boulevard. The City Clerk and the Director of Planning and Development are hereby authorized
and directed to take such actions as maybe necessary and appropriate to accomplish this purpose.
