This case is being presented by the applicant, represented by Andrew Clark, for the property
located at 509 N. 7h.The property is zoned C-2 Open Display Commercial District. The
applicant is proposing to open a used automotive dealership on the property.
After review and discussion, Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval,subject
to the following condition:
1. No outside storage of wrecked vehicles on the lot.
II. Special Use Permit-Auto Wrecker Service-Deibel Towing—600-610 E.Jefferson

This case was presented by the applicant, represented by Robert Deibel, for the property located
at 600-610 E. Jefferson. The property is zoned I-1 Limited Industrial District. The applicant is
proposing to use the existing site for a wrecker service.
After review and discussion, Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval, subject

Commission Meeting

Council Report
The West Memphis A & P Commission met on a Zoom meeting March 20th at 12 p.m.
OLD BUSINESS
The Commissioners agreed to capacity limitations for the Eugene Woods Civic Center of
150 and the Civic Auditorium of 250 for the next 90 days. They will then revisit the
capacity limits according to the number of active covid cases after 90 days.
The Commissioners gave Jim Jackson their approval to move forward with the process
to start the storage construction and bid process for the Civic Center exterior/foyer
renovations.
The commission voted to move forward with the 101h Annual Great Steak Cook-Off on
Saturday, May 8th.
Jim Jackson submitted a second request for funding from the Bill Dance Mississippi
River Monsters. Commissioner Scott Ferguson made a motion to reimburse up to
$2,500.00 contingent upon the rules of sponsorship being followed. Commissioner
Melanie Hutchinson seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
Jim Jackson presented to the Commissioners the letter of interest from A&P that was
sent to Mr. Lamont Robinson, CEO of the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame.
Jim Jackson stated that Mr. Lamont Robinson is still interested in coming to West
Memphis for a visit.
NEW BUSINESS
A presentation was made to the A&P Commissioners, with renderings, requesting grant
match money for a Welcome Center Boardwalk to be located next to the Welcome
Center. After a Q&A session, no action was taken at meeting time.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 12:55 pm.
