2579 ORDINANCE NO. 2
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR DEIBEL
TOWING,PERMITTING AN AUTO WRECKER SERVICE IN AN 1.1,
GENERAL INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Planning Commission, on,
April 28,2021, for a Special Use Permit allowing an Automobile Wrecker Service at
600-610 E. Jefferson as required by Ordinance No. 1988, as amended.
WHEREAS, after notice had been published for the time and in the manner as
provided by Ordinance No. 1988, as amended, the matter was heard by the City Planning
Commission on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, and the Planning Commission
recommended approval of a Special Use Permit allowing an Automobile Wrecker
Service in an 1-1 General Business District, subject to criteria listed below.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The following described property, to wit:
600-610 E. Jefferson
West Memphis, AR
and the same hereby is granted a Special Use Permit for an Auto Wrecker Service in an I-
1 General Industrial District, subject to the following criteria:
1. Proper execution of all Certificates;
2. Installation of grading and drainage improvements as required by the City
Engineer,
3. Approval of the improvement plans by the West Memphis Utility Department, as
to easements;
4. Installation of storm water management requirements and other improvements, as
required by the City Engineer.
5. All vehicles must be stored on pavement, in accordance with Ordinance 1988.
6. Installation of an sight-proof fence or wall, at least 8 ft. in height, in accordance
with Ordinance 1988.
SECTION 11: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
