RESOLUTION NO. / ~ ~o
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REMOVAL OF LIENS FOR
GRASS CUTTING SERVICES PERFORMED BY THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 1666; Resolution No. 1721; Resolution No.
1757; Resolution No. 1778; Resolution No. 1804; and Resolution No. 1827
adopted by the West Memphis City Council certified charges to be placed as liens
against certain property within the City of West Memphis, including that property
located at 423 S. 9~' Street in West Memphis for grass cutting pursuant to
Ordinance 1385; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 1666; Resolution No. 1721; Resolution No.
1757; Resolution No. 1778; Resolution No. 1804; and Resolution No. 1827
certified charges of $755.37 to be placed as liens against the property owned by
Bud Davis and E. Williams at 423 S. 9~' Street in West Memphis for grass cutting;
and
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Code Enforcement Office
that the property at 423 S. 9~' Street in West Memphis has been turned over to the
State Commissioner of State Lands and Old Saint Paul Missionary Baptist
Church has expressed an interest in purchasing, developing and maintaining said
property; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Code Enforcement Office
that it would be in the best interest of the City if the $755.37 placed against the
property located at 423 S. 9`~ Street in West Memphis by Resolution No. 1666;
Resolution No. 1721; Resolution No. 1757; Resolution No. 1778; Resolution No.
1804; and Resolution No. 1827 be removed, and to allow the sale and
development of said property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. The liens imposed against the property owned by Bud Davis and E.
Williams, 423 S. 9~' Street in West Memphis, Arkansas, by Resolution No.
1666; Resolution No. 1721; Resolution No. 1757; Resolution No. 1778;
Resolution No. 1804; and Resolution No. 1827 pursuant to the authority of
Ordinance 1385, are hereby authorized to be removed;

2. The Code Enforcement Office is directed to forward a copy of this
Resolution to the Crittenden County Tax Collector's Office and to the
property ownersn
