RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS
AMENDING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT PROGRAMS (B-95-2001-MC-OS-
0009)
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis, Arkansas is carrying out a variety of
community improvement activities with funds received under provisions of Title I of the
Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis is desirous of approving an amendment to
this program by revising certain line items; and
WHEREAS, there has been prepared for the stated purpose an Amendment to the
CDBG Program, which is identified as a printed document which was reviewed at this
meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That Amendment dated August 16, 2001, as identified above, be and hereby
is approved in all respects as an official revision to the City's CDBG Program
and the Final Statement of Community Development Objective and Projected
Use of Funds.
2. That the amount of $287,466 previously allocated in the administration and
public service activities in the B-95 - 2000 grant years, be reallocated to the
South 9th Utility and Street Improvement Project.
3. That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to notify, advise, and otherwise
publish information required in order to effectuate this Amendment.
4. That all of the findings and determinations regazding the CDBG Program is
hereby reaffirmed and made applicable to this resolution as if same were
repeated herein in their entirety.
5. That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
