A RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH THE PAY SCALE FOR THE PERSONNEL OF
THE WEST MEMPHIS POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE WEST MEMPHIS FIRE
DEPARTMENT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the West Memphis Cim Council provided for a Sales and Use Tax in Ordinance No.
1992_ which becomes effective Januan~ 1, 2002; and,
WHEREAS. Ordinance No. 1992 set out an allocation of 57%~ to the West Memphis Police
Department and 3~i.0`% to the West Memphis Fire Department; and,
WHEREAS. a new pay scale for the personnel of the West Memphis Police Department and the West
Memphis Fire Department. as attached, incorporates an allocation of funds from the Sales and Use Tax, and
will become effective as of January 1, 2002;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The annual salar<~ for the personnel of the West Memphis Police Department and the
West Memphis Fire Department is hereby established in acordance ~~~ith the attached schedule, and shall
become effective as of Januar<~ 1.2002.
SECTION 2. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict here~~ith are hereby repealed to the
extent of any such conflict.
