A RESOLUTION COMMENDING DR. C. W. PEEPLES FOR HIS
SERVICE ON THE WEST MEMPHIS CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Dr. C. W. Peeples was elected to serve as Alderman from Ward
Three, Position One, on the West Memphis City Council where he has served for siz
years and having worked with the administration of two mayors of this great city;
and
WHEREAS, Dr. C. W. Peeples has wholeheartedly represented his
constituents in Ward Three and all the citizens of West Memphis during his tenure
on the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Dr. C. W. Peeples is known for his calm, consistent demeanor
with its stabilizing influence on everyone around him; and
WHEREAS, Dr. C. W. Peeples is an avid Redbird fan, a supporter of the
local boys and girls clubs and other community organizations, including the Ralph
B. Hamilton Scholarship Fund, by donating funds for the operation of programs;
and
WHEREAS, Dr. C. W. Peeples's service to the City of West Memphis for
the past"~e years has included serving on Fire Commission, Insurance Commission,
Personnel Committee, Police Commission, A&P Commission and Cabtevision
Committee and Liaison with the Parks Commission; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Peeples has brought a progressive, positive, and active
attitude to all of his endeavors as a representative of the City of West Memphis; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has been fortunate to have the
service, dedication and outgoing personality of Dr. C. W. Peeples on the City
Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS THAT Dr. C. W. Peeples be
commended for his service and dedication to the citizens of West Memphis.
