A RESO1~~'TION APPROVING A GRANT FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $398,587.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECLiTE DOCUMENTS TO OBTAIN THE
GRANT.
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has been approved for a grant of Federal Funds for
a project for development of the West Memphis Municipal Airport; and,
WHERE:~S the Federal Aviation Administration has allocated for the West Memphis
Municipal Airport a grant in the amount of $398,587.00 for project number 3-05-0065-016-2003 to
be used together v ith funds provided by the City of West Memphis and the State of Arkansas for a
total project cost r,f $442,875.00 to rehabilitate taxiways, improve Runway 17/35 safety area,
rehabilitate aircraft parking apron and acquire pavement sweeper. This includes sealcoating taxiways
and portions of the apron, regrading taxiway shoulders and runway shoulders.
NOW, TI~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
