A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS,
HONORING THE MEMORY OF WEST MEMPHIS POLICE OFFICER MICHAEL WATERS
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis mourns the loss of life of Officer Michael Waters; and
WHEREAS, Officer Michael Waters was killed in the line of duty on September 11, 2003, in
pursuit of criminals, and
WHEREAS, Officer Michael Waters served the City of West Memphis and the West Memphis
Police Department witi~ love and dedication from August 1, 2001, until his death on September 11, 2003;
and
WHEREAS, Officer Water's vitality for life will be missed by Reverend Herman Coleman,
Chairman and the Corr ~nissioners of the West Memphis Police Commission, by the citizens of the City of
West Memphis, and by the officers of the West Memphis Police Department, heartfelt sympathy is
extended to the widow of Officer Michael Waters, and to Officers Waters' parents; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, that the memory of the life of Officer Michael Waters be honored, and that sympathy
be extended to Mrs. Jennifer Waters in the loss of her husband in the line of duty.
