A RESOLUTION NAMING THE NEW WEST MEMPHIS FIRE DEPARTMENT
TRAINING FACILITY"THE EASON-LANG TRAINING FACILITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS".
WHEREAS, City of West Memphis will be constructing a new training facility for the
men and women of the West Memphis Fire Department providing adequate training for
their preparedness of firefighting and lifesaving skills; and
WHEREAS, it will also serve as a training facility for Arkansas' Firefighters from
around the State; and
WHEREAS,this training facility will be the Is'of its kind in Eastern Arkansas,
providing necessary training and firefighting classes; and
WHEREAS,this training facility will be named in honor of the 2 firefighters,David
Eason and Jason Lang who lost their lives in the line of duty training and serving the
people of West Memphis and the State of Arkansas;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT the West Memphis City Council
hereby names the newly constructed training facility the"Eason-Lang Training Facility
of West Memphis".
