RESOLUTION COMMENDING GHERIC BRUCE FOR HIS
SERVICE ON THE WEST MEMPHIS CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Gheric Bruce was elected in 1992 to serve as Alderman from
Ward Two, Position One, on the West Memphis City Council where he has served
for twelve years and worked with the administration of three Mayors of this great
city; and
WHEREAS, Gheric Bruce has been exemplary in serving his constituents
in Ward Two and has always been instrumental in exploring avenues to improve
the conditions of the city; and
WHEREAS, Gheric Bruce, during his tenure with the City Council, has
served on the Cablevision Committee, Parks Commission, Public Works
Committee, Budget Committee, West Memphis Housing Authority, Police
Commission, Fire Commission and Insurance Commission; and
WHEREAS, Gheric Bruce has been known for his progressive, positive
and active attitude in all of his endeavors while serving Ward Two, Position One;
and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has been fortunate to have the
service, dedication and outgoing personality of Gheric Bruce on the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, that Gheric Bruce be
commended for his service and dedication to the citizens of West Memphis.
ADOPTED this 16th day of December, 2004.
