RESOLUTION COMMENDING AL FELTON FOR HIS
SERVICE ON THE WEST MEMPHIS CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Al Felton was elected in 1994 to serve a term beginning January 1,
1995 through December 31, 1996, and re-elected in 1998 to serve as Alderman from
Ward Five, Position Two, on the West Memphis City Council where he served for a total
of eight years and worked with the administrations of two Mayors of this great city; and
WHEREAS, Al Felton has wholeheartedly represented his constituents in Ward
Five and all of the citizens of West Memphis during his tenure on the West Memphis City
Council; and
WHEREAS, Al Felton has worked diligently to complete the budgets and other
duties he had agreed to complete; and
WHEREAS, Al Felton has served on the Advertising and Promotion Commission,
Public Works Committee, Personnel Committee, Budget Commission, Fire Commission,
Police Commission, Design Review Commission, Planning Commission and Parks
Commission; and
WHEREAS, Al Felton has been known for his progressive, positive and active
attitude in all of his endeavors while serving Ward Five, Position Two; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has been fortunate to have the service,
dedication and outgoing personality of Al Felton on the City Council; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, that Al Felton be commended for his
service and dedication to the citizens of West Memphis.
