A RESOLUTION COMMENDING JOE BRASFIELD FOR HIS
SERVICE ON THE WEST MEMPHIS CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Joe Brasfield was elected to serve as Alderman from Ward Fow,
Position One, on the West Memphis City Council where he has served for 14 years and
having worked with fow mayors administration of this great city; and
WHEREAS, Joe Brasfield has wholeheartedly represented his constituents in
Ward Fow and all the citizens of West Memphis during the service on the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, Joe Brasf eld is known for his little league coaching abilities,
organizing youth recreational activities, and being the "Candy Man" in West Memphis
and surrounding areas for many yeazs; and
WHEREAS, Joe Brasfield has been very supportive of the local boys and girls
club, and donates funds and merchandise to churches and community organizations
fundraising events; and
WHEREAS, Joe Brasfield has served as representative for Zone 3, Wazd 4 on the
West Memphis School Board from 1994 to 1998; and
WHEREAS, Joe Brasfield's service to the City of West Memphis for the past
two years has included serving as Chairman of the Public Works Committee, member of
the Fire Commission, the Police Commission, the Budget Commission and liaison for the
Parks Commission; and
WHEREAS, Joe Brasfield has brought a progressive, positive and active attitude
to all of his endeavors as a representative of the City of West Memphis; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has been fortunate to have the service,
dedication and outgoing personality of Joe Brasfield on the City Council; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARItANSAS, THAT Joe Brasfield be
commeaded for his service and dedication to the citizens of West Memphis.
