A RESOLUTION COMMENDING DAN CRAFT FOR HIS SERVICE
AS CITY CLERK FOR THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS
WHEREAS, Dan Craft was elected to serve as City Clerk for the City of West
Memphis beginning January 1, 1978; and
WHEREAS, Dan Craft has admirably represented all the citizens of West
Memphis during his twenty year tenure as City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, during city council meetings Dan Craft can be recognized as the
man wearing the most unique, entertaining, and colorful attire for all occasions, a man of
diverse opinions far any given situation and a great humanitarian; and
WHEREAS, in his pursuit of tracking down purchase orders and making sure the
items are needed, his greatest asset besides his ability to sell insurance and being the city
clerk for the city of West Memphis is his goodwill and love for his city and the people of
West Memphis; and
WHEREAS, Dan Craft is an avid Razorback "Hag" fan who can be seen at the
games clothed in red, hanging onto his hog hat, and calling the Hogs. When he is not
attending the games and missing the excitement relies on his African gray parrot who is
known for calling the Hogs; and
WHEREAS, Dan Craft is known for his community involvement with the
Shriner Organization that focuses on assisting young needed persons with hospital
expenses and try to prepare them to look beyond their problems and find new
opportunities; and
WHEREAS, Dan Craft has been known for his progressive, positive and active
attitude to all of his endeavors while serving in the capacity of City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has been fortunate to have the service,
dedication and outgoing personality of Dan Craft as the City Clerk for the City of West
Memphis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCII. OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, THAT Dan Craft be commended for his service
and dedication to the citizens of West Memphis.
