RESOLUTION NO. ~ 61
A RESOLUTION TO CREATE WITHIN THE WEST ivIEMPHIS POLICE
DEPARTMENT THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Police Commission has considered and approved the creation of the
position of Director of Internal Affairs for the West Memphis Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the salary for the position of Director of Internal Affairs for the West Memphis
Police Department has been appropriated in the present budget at the same rate of compensation as
the position of Inspector for the West Memphis Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish within the West Memphis Police
Department the position of Director of Internal Affairs at the same rate of compensation as the
position of Inspector for the West Memphis Police Department;
VOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby created within the West Memphis Police Department the
position of Director of Internal Affairs which shall be at the same rate of compensation as the
position of Inspector for the West Memphis Police Department.
SECTION 2. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
to the extent of any such conflict.
