A RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS AND THE ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY
COMMISSION FOR THE RELOCATION OF ELECTRIC, WATER AND
SEWER UTILITIES IN CONNECTION WITH IMPROVEMENTS BEING
MADE TO HIGHWAY 77 AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE
AGREEMENTS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Arkansas State Highway Commission is in the process of making
improvements to Highway 77 as part of State Job No. 110303 and such improvements will require
the relocation of electric utilities and water and sewer utilities; and
WHEREAS, the Arkansas State Highway Commission has presented the City of West
Memphis with an agreement for the relocation of electric utilities and an agreement for the relocation
of water and sewer utilities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the agreements for the relocation of utilities should
be approved and the Mayor and the City Clerk should be authorized to execute said agreements on
behalf of the City of West Memphis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT the agreements for the relocation of electric utilities
and water and sewer utilities along Highway 77 in connection with State Job No. 110303 are hereby
approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute said agreements on behalf
of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas.
