A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS TO
UTILIZE FEDERAL-AID ENHANCEMENT MONIES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, understands
Federal-Air Surface Transportation Enhancement funds are available at 80% federal participation
and 20% local cash match for the following project: transportation enhancement project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of West
Memphis, that:
SECTION I: The City of West Memphis, Arkansas will participate in accordance with
its desi;nated responsibility, including maintenance of this project.
SECTION II: The Mayor of the City of West Memphis, or his designee, is hereby
authorized and directed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite
the construction of the above stated improvement.
SECTION III: The City Council of the City of West Memphis pledges its full support
and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate
action to implement this project.
