A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY TO HAROLD E. BUEHLER, SR., AND JO ELLEN
BUEHLER AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE THE SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS.
WHEREAS, the Harold E. Buehler, Sr., and Jo Ellen Buehler, husband and wife, have
presented the City of West Memphis an offer to purchase the fee simple title to certain described
real property for $4,000.00; and
WHEREAS, A.C.A. 14-54-302 authorizes municipal corporations to sell real estate and
provides that all contracts and conveyances shall be performed by the mayor and city clerk when
authorized by a resolution, in writing, approved by a majority vote of the city council present and
participating; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed offer to purchase the below
described real property from the City of West Memphis is in the best interests of the City of West
Memphis and should be approved and the mayor and City Clerk should be authorized to execute
the Special Warranty Deed on behalf of the City of West Memphis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The offer of Harold E. Buehler, Sr., and Jo Ellen Buehler, husband and
wife, to purchase from the City of West Memphis the following described real property:
Lots 11 and 12 in Block 113 and Lots 14 and 15 in Block 114 of the George T.
Kendal Subdivision in the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, as shown by a plat of
record in Plat Book 1 at pages 24 and 25 in the office of the Circuit Court Clerk &
Ex-Officio Recorder of Crittenden County, Arkansas
for the purchase price of $4,000.00 is hereby approved.

SECTION 2. The mayor and the city clerk are hereby authorized to execute the Special
Warranty Deed on behalf of the City of West Memphis to convey the above described real
property to Harold E. Buehler, Sr., and Jo Ellen Buehler.
