A RESOLUTION TO NOMINATE OMASETOCTHE WESTIMEMPHOISMUTILITY
FEATHERSTON AND HAROLD TH
COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, Ordinance 1069 of the City of West Memphis
provides that members of the West Memphis Utility Commission
shall be nominated by any member of the city council and elected

by a majority vote of such governing

WHEREAS, the terms of Commissioners Loutelious Holmes,
Featherston and Harold Thomas expire at the end of May, 1994;
and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Loutelious Holmes has served the City
of West Memphis as a member of the West Memphis Utility
Commission since April of 1982 and currently serves as Chairman
of the Commission; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Jim Featherston has served the City
of West Memphis as a member of the West Memphis Utility
Commission since July of 1983 and currently serves as Vice-

Chairman of the Commission; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Harold Thomas has served the City of
West Memphis as a member of the West Memphis Utility Commission
since January of 1988; and
WHEREAS, Commissioners Loutelious Holmes, Jim Featherston
and Harold Thomas have duly and faithfully performed the duties
of Commissioner of the West Memphis Utility Commission and are
each deserving of re-nomination and re-election to the
Commission;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT Loutelious Holmes, Jim
Featherston and Harold Thomas are each hereby nominated and
elected to the office of Commissioner of the West Memphis
Utility Commission to serve for a term of three years.
