RESOLUTION NO. /3qq
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REMOVAL OF A LIEN FOR
DEMOLITION SERVICES PERFORMED BY THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS.
WHEREAS, on June 1, 1989, the West Memphis City Council
certified charges to be placed as liens against certain property
,^ within the City of West Memphis, including that property located at
,~~ 628 South 18th Street, for demolition services performed by the
~ City of West Memphis pursuant to Ordinance 1141; and
WHEREAS, on June 1, 1989, the West Memphis City Council
certified charges of $1555.91 to be placed as a lien against the
property owned by Hallie Davis at 628 South 18th Street in West
Memphis for demolition; and
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Code Enforcement
Office that the lien against the property at 628 South 18th Street
in West Memphis was placed on the tax books after ownership of the
real property had been transferred to a new owner without notice of
the City's claim after the demolition work and before the
imposition of the lien; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Code Enforcement
Office that the lien placed against the property located at 628
South 18th Street in West Memphis be removed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. The lien imposed on June 1, 1989 pursuant to the
authority of Ordinance 1141 against the property owned by Hallie
Davis at 628 South 18th Street in West Memphis, Arkansas, is hereby

2. The Code Enforcement Office is directed to forward a copy

of this Resolution to the Crittenden County Tax Collector's Office
and to the property owner.
