1400RESOLUTION NO. ~~ DD
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING DANA ALEXANDER FOR HER DEDICATION AND
SERVICE TO THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS.
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has been fortunate to have
Dana Alexander as a dedicated employee; and
WHEREAS, Dana Alexander began work with the City of West
Memphis in 1991; and
WHEREAS, Dana Alexander established and coordinated the
Mayor's Victim Advocacy Program to serve victims of violent crime
in Crittenden County and will be deeply missed; and
WHEREAS, Dana Alexander served as coordinator of the Mayor's
Victim Advocacy Program and held the responsibilities of planning
and implementing MVAP services, grant writing, budgeting and
accounting, recruitment and training of volunteers, establishing
policies and procedures, reporting activities, developing inter-
agency cooperative agreements, providing direct services to victims
of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, survivors of
homicide victims, and DWI/DUI survivors which include crisis
intervention, claims assistance, criminal justice advocacy,
personal advocacy, support groups, and referrals to other agencies;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT Dana Alexander be commended for her
service and dedication to the citizens of West Memphis.
