AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE 2901 E. SERVICE ROAD, A 3.78 ACRE TRACT OF LAND
BEING ALL OF LOT 20 OF THE WALKER ESTATE SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, CRITTENDEN COUNTY, ARKANSAS, AS SHOWN BY A PLAT OF
RECORD IN PLAT BOOK 2, PAGE 201 OF THE CRITTENDEN COUNTY RECORDS,
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, CRITTENDEN COUNTY, ARKANSAS FROM C-1, GENERAL
BUSINESS DISTRICT TO C-2, OPEN DISPLAY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning Commission to rezone the hereinafter
described property, and after notice having been published for the time and in the manner as
provided by Ordinance No. 715, as amended, the matter was heard by the City Planning
Commission on August 26, 1998 Case #Z-08-98 and the Planning Commission recommended
that the application be approved and the City Council finds that such application should be
granted; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property located in the City of West
Memphis, Crittenden County, Arkansas, to wit:
2901 E. Service Road being:
All of Lot 20 of the Walker Estate Subdivision in the City of West Memphis, Crittenden
County, Arkansas, as shown by a plat of record in Plat Book 2, Page 201 of the
Crittenden County Records. Also described as:
Beginning at the northwest corner of said Lot 6, said point being at the intersection of
the east right-of--way line of North Walker Avenue (50'R/W) with the south right-of--way
line of the south service road of Highway Interstate No. 55; thence along the south right-
of-way line of said south service road S65°28'00"E A distance of 670.25 feet; thence
leaving said south service road S24°32'00"W 200.00 to the north line of 3rd Rich
Eastern Addition to the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, as shown in Plat Book 2, Page
118; Thence along said North line N65°28'33"W 181.70 feet; thence continuing along
said northline S00°00'00"W 110.12 feet; thence N65°28'00"W 397.25 feet to the east
right-of--way line of north Walker Avenue; thence along said east right-of--way line
N00°00'00"E 330.00 feet to the point of beginning, containing 164,731.11 square feet or
3.7817 acres more or less, and subject to all rights-of--way, easements and restrictive
covenants of record or fact.
